Flowers of Cochabamba *** Kwitnaca ‘Qucha pampa’

Not by accident Cochabamba is known as ‘The City of Eternal Spring’ or ‘The Garden City’ – in the Winter blue – flowering trees contrast with the mountains while in the Summer (January-February), the streets turn into a ‘multi-colored flower pot’ surrounded by green hills.

Hibiscus trees decorated with large flowers in different shades are the most beautiful and that can be found at every step.

In the Summer, it is worthwhile to explore the ‘Botanic Garden’ in Cochabamba which is great in comparison to the one in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. Millions of flowers, fruiting citrus trees – and all this for free, almost in the city center!

Unfortunately we had a bad luck, because after 5 minutes of crossing the garden’s gate, it started to rain, and the trees (especially the palm) has not performed well as an umbrella :) Soaked to the skin, we decided to came back home, driving flooded streets of Cochabamba, which within five minutes turned into rushing streams.
